Methodology
The following is a rough guide for first-time clients. This is what you’ll have to do:
First, invite us to a meeting to discuss the project focus, the primary audience, and a proposed style.
Pre-production phase:
- Identify key players, possible scenarios and likely venues.
- Identify suitable dates and check availability of all involved.
- Secure permission from people to be filmed.
- Agree outline shooting script and schedule with Chapelgate.
Production phase:
- Make sure that relevant people are where they’re supposed to be.
- Make sure that relevant locations are available as planned.
- Leave it to us, or get involved…as you please.
Post-production phase:
- Provide us with logos and acknowledgements for inclusion in the film.
- If you can, spend a day in the edit suite, working with the editor to make changes to a roughcut “on the fly”.
- A day or two after this, you’ll receive a version on DVD with on-screen timecode. Use the timecode to identify further required changes.
- When you receive an approval version on DVD or as a downloadable file, show it to anyone who needs to see it. For your own sanity, keep this number small.
